Great opportunity to join the Bimbadgen team and play an integral part of keeping the businesses’ three properties looking spectacular. The General Hand role will work predominantly on the upkeep of the gardens and grounds at Emma’s Cottage and assist with general maintenance duties, event set up and small projects.
Successful candidates will have:
- Manual Driver’s Licence – Essential
- Gardening and maintenance experience
- Ride on mower and/or tractor skills advantageous
- Good communication skills and an eye for detail
- Professional approach and positive attitude and work ethic
- Ability to follow systems, procedures & safety standards
- Ability to perform at a medium-high level of physical requirement
- Flexibility to work throughout the week – this role is mostly Monday to Friday but will be required to work weekends as needed

Emma’s Cottage is a boutique winery within the Bimbadgen Estate Portfolio. Established in 1985 and located in the picturesque, Lovedale, Emma’s Cottage vineyard produced its first vintage in 1989. While it is one of the smallest vineyards in the Hunter Valley, the vineyard produces premium boutique wines from the seven different varieties of grapes grown onsite. As well as the vineyard and Cellar Door, Emma’s Cottage is home to five vineyard accommodation offerings which includes two-, three- and four-bedroom cottages and a five-bedroom guesthouse.
