Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper forms an integral part of our Bird In Hand team as we focus on the continuous improvement of our estate to a world class standard. 

You will be committed to sustainable estate management practices as we look to adopt a more organic approach property management. Of key importance is committing to a culture of continuous improvement and tending to our property with a caring touch.

You will know how to get the job done, whilst working to the highest standard. 

You will have a passion for sustainability, and love mowing our large grounds and manicured lawns.

Experience in the following is preferred:

The Groundskeeper is involved in various estate management activities (across 150 Pfeiffer Road, 15 Pfeiffer Road, and the private family property in Woodside) including but not limited to:

• Maintain gardens, lawns, hedging to the highest standard
• Assisting other gardener(s) with vegetable garden 
• Prepare outdoor areas for various weather conditions
• Irrigation, pruning, planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching and applying herbicides
• Control of pests including Black Beetle and Fall Army Worm 
• Operate and maintain garden and landscaping equipment
• Schedule specialty services such as required

Key Requirements:

• Positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to take instructions and execute them with a meticulous eye for detail
• You will need to be experienced in planning and scheduling to competing deadlines. 
• You will need to be comfortable taking and giving instruction, working autonomously, as well as managing a team.
• 7am start, full driver’s licence, MR licence, chemical handling certification.

A pre-employment medical may be required.
