Sadleirs is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join us in our Head Office in Kewdale. You will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations by ensuring accuracy and efficiently. We are looking for a candidate with strong organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple task and deadlines
The role involves contributing to the financial integrity of the business by ensuring accurate, timely and effective financial reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis.
Key Duties
- Month-end and Year-end process – end to end
- Internal and external reporting, variance analysis and ad hoc analytical work
- Cash flow forecast as well as various banking and finance duties
- Assist in meeting compliance requirements, including BAS, FBT, Tax and other regulatory compliance
- Assisting with the compilation of information for audits, reporting & reviews
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts
- Preparation of required documents and calculations for year-end
- Assist in maintaining the Group cash flow forecast
- Assist in the preparation of Group consolidation entries and associated Group Financial reports
To be successful the following is required
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to self-manage workloads
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting or related discipline
- Have or working towards a CA or CPA Membership
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Some exposure to multiple company accounting and consolidated accounts is desirable
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and quick to learn new systems and applications
- Interest in developing statutory accounting and tax compliance skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
