A leading global financial services consulting firm is seeking a Group Accountant. The firm excels in delivering strategic advisory and consulting services to support corporate governance, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives. Reporting to a seasoned technical manager, this position will focus on the Asia Pacific business, particularly ANZ.
This technical role presents new challenges and rewards daily as you assist with the production of Financial Statements, IFRS Standards, consolidation, and managing the audit. This opportunity will allow you to expand your financial knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The RoleReporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role will require you to manage the finance function and focus on:
- Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Implementation of IFRS Standards.
- Reconciling to sub-ledgers.
- Responding to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
- Providing financial advice by identifying potential complications and applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations.
- Collecting and analyzing data, which is then used in the preparation of weekly and monthly estimates.
- Ensuring all company statutory requirements are met promptly.
- Conducting internal audits on key financial functions.
- Examining and reviewing financial records to check for accuracy.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Additional qualifications such as CPA or CA (CA is preferred but not essential).
- Big Four experience will be highly regarded.
- IFRS 9, 15, and/or 16 experience.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
- Exceptional experience with TM1, SAP, and Cognos. Netsuite is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Brilliant organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to meet business-critical deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
