About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team on a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave. Reporting to Finance Manager, this position will be responsible for managing accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, month-end, and year-end processes.
Other responsibilities include:
- Oversee the financial maintenance of all entities of Etex Group in Australia including full balance sheet/account reconciliation process, cash flows, tax effect accounting and integrity reviews
- Coordinate and complete the month-end process, including the preparation and finalisation of month-end results
- Participate in the coordination and preparation of monthly reports, including internal management reports (local) and business unit and group management reports
- Prepare monthly PAYG, and BAS returns for all entities
- Prepare annual and interim Financial Audit with support from team and audit partners
- Prepare in partnership with local management forecasts and budgets
- Create and settle Assets under construction
- Create and maintain leased assets
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting
- CPA/CA with 3-5 years experience
- Advanced SAP and Business Objects/Business Warehouse experience essential
- Ability to combine strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with business knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experienced in preparing Budgeting/Forecasting
- Competent in month end and yearend financial reporting (profit and loss, overhead report, balance sheet reconciliation and statutory report)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Previous exposure to a manufacturing environment desired
