The Role
- Manage Group Reservations from initial inquiry to booking, working closely with all group organizers and wholesale agents as well as direct companies and the Hotel Sales team to coordinate all aspects of their stay.
- Foster strong collaboration with various hotel departments, such as Sales and Front Office, to ensure seamless guest experiences and the fulfillment of special requests.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest and agent inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Negotiate rates and terms with group organizers, adhering to the hotel's policies and revenue goals with the assistance of the Cluster Groups Reservations Manager.
- Ensure timely and professional handling of Group Reservations correspondence and guest contact.
- Accurately record and enter Group Reservations and correspondence into Opera.
- Maintain accurate guest and group history for utilization, including profile management.
- Assist the FIT Reservations team with overflow of general Reservations calls and email enquiries including updating of chargebacks and completing Arrivals checks as required.
Ideally you will have:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of Opera PMS system preferred but not essential
- Previous experience working in a hotel environment ideal
- Ability to multi task and work accurately and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills on both the phone and in person
- Have a passion for delivering welcoming customer service and memorable guest experiences
- Ability to work fulltime hours, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm without restrictions as well as occasional Saturdays
