About the role
Reporting to the CEO as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Group Senior Manager Brand, Reputation & Corporate Affairs will lead the ongoing enhancement of Queensland Rail's brand and reputation through superior communication internally and externally, effective marketing strategies and excellent stakeholder engagement with customers, communities and other external stakeholders.

Queensland Rail has an exciting decade of growth ahead. As part of the ‘rail revolution' more than $20 billion in new infrastructure and assets will be integrated into the Queensland Rail network. This role will need to proactively balance the current and future needs to ensure customer engagement and communication is optimised and our services are valued by the community.

The team consist of 5 direct reports and more than 45 professionals covering areas of Marketing, Media & Government Affairs, Stakeholder & Community Partners, Marketing & Design and Strategic Communications.

About you
The successful applicant will have had substantial experience working at a senior level within an operational organisation with a diverse stakeholder group including state government and be able to demonstrate;
• Strong commercial and strategic thinking through leadership of areas in government affairs, corporate planning, enterprise performance reporting and strategic governance.
• Senior experience and demonstrated ability to deliver effective communications outcomes in a complex government relations, community and media environment which are reflective of the political, social, and economic factors affecting the organisation.
• High level of communications skills within contemporary cross-sector stakeholder management frameworks, with demonstrated experience in managing relations with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, Shareholding Minister/s, regulatory bodies, Government Departments and authorities, and industry members.
• Solid knowledge and application of best practice in strategic internal and external communication, enterprise performance reporting, contemporary marketing and branding strategies.
• Prominent skill in the application of contemporary and innovative media and social media strategies and a substantial understanding of channel strategy development.
