Murray Zircon Pty Ltd is a mineral sands mining company focused on the production of heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) in the Murray Basin in South Australia. The Company’s principal asset is the Mindarie Mineral Sands Project located 150km east of Adelaide in the Mallee region of South Australia with a Head Office in Adelaide.
Murray Zircon is now well into production. The person in this newly created role will have the flexibility to work from home, with the requirement to visit site from time to time and also be able to travel within South Australia at times and attend functions occasionally on weekends as the Murray Zircon representative. The hours worked will change according to the varying levels of activities, which means the person in this role needs to be flexible.
About the Role:
The role of Community Relations Officer is to support a program of activities that create a positive image for MZ Mining within the local community. A key component includes building relationships and ensuring compliance with formal Community Liaison activities. This position reports to the Environment Manager and is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Administrative program of community engagement activities.
- Communicate company’s policies and initiatives to the community and landowners as required.
- Facilitate communication between the company and the community to resolve issues or conflicts.
- Facilitate MZ Mining support of community events though internal promotion and administration, including budget management.
- Collaborate across MZ Mining teams to ensure community relations are integrated into business process and culture.
