The Opportunity Our client is a leading ASX listed  business who have recorded impressive growth over the past 10 years and continue to gain market share today. They are recognised as having a supportive company culture which enables strong tenure and long-term development within the business.

They are currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support tax advisory and compliance across multiple business units. 

The Challenge 

Reporting directly to the GM Finance and working closely with the Group Finance Teams, your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of the Group’s income tax return,
• Reviewing and approving GST and FBT return.
• Tax payment forecasting.
• Working with the broader business to review, improve and document internal tax controls.
• Monitoring new tax developments, analyse its impact and advise the business accordingly
• Assist with the resolution of all Australian Taxation Office enquiries, including (but not limited to) risk reviews, audits, etc.
• Assisting with internal policy reviews from a tax perspective.
• Identifying process and system improvements for enhanced efficiency.
• Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly tax effect accounting for the Group.
• Tax oversight on Joint venture entities.

The Expertise

• Degree qualified (Accounting, Commerce, Law)
• CA/CPA qualified (preferred, but not essential)
• Masters of Tax or Partially Completed (preferred, but not essential)
• Strong tax technical knowledge and research capability
• Extensive tax compliance experience
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to build strong and effective relationships with individuals both within the organisation and externally
