There is a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated early-career hotel guest services professional to join our Sales & Marketing team as Groups Reservations Coordinator on a full-time basis.

Reporting to our Director of Commercial & Guest Experience, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and coordination of group reservations of 10 rooms or more as well as nurturing relationships with key clients such as PCOs, travel agents, airlines and commercial organisations.

In this role you will:
  • Coordinate of group reservations of 10 rooms or more, including but not limited to 90/60/30 day touch points, rooming lists, payments, cancellations and terms & conditions.
  • Prepare group information sheets (group movements) and briefing of all involved hotel operational teams prior to arrival of group.
  • Handle guest complaints and enquiries in an efficient and professional manner and ensure the Director of Commercial & Guest Experience is informed of any guest feedback
  • Manage hotel inventory in relation to group reservations
  • Produce reports and statistics Manage Group payments, cancellations, rooming lists and terms and conditions.
  • Ensure a prompt input of reservations and data for the next 3 month period for all group enquiries & bookings (within 24 hours).
  • Maintain a precise filing system for all Group reservations and correspondence
What we are looking for?
  • Experience in reservations or sales & marketing roles within a hotel environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hotel management an advantage
  • A creative flair and a natural ability to generate ideas to engage our guests
  • Demonstrated drive and initiative
  • The ability to work within a team and build report with all departments in the business
  • Highly organised self-starter with the ability to effectively manage priorities
  • Projects a professional image through presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to think on their feet and problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Verbal and written fluency in English on a business level; additional languages are a plus
  • A high standard of grooming and presentation
