Who we are:

Bayview Geographe Resort is part of the Bayview International Hotels & Resorts Group, offering 11 properties throughout Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand, with plans to expand significantly over the coming years.

Located just a short drive from the centre of Busselton, we are situated right on the beautiful Geographe Bay beach. Our property spans over 27 acres and our accommodation options include studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom villas.

This is a full time position where you will be paid an hourly rate plus applicable penalty rates. There is also the requirement to be ‘ón call’ should any urgent matters arise, but you will be paid an additional amount for this.

The role:

This is the perfect position for someone who loves to keep busy and enjoys variety in their working day. Attending to the requirements of our guests, you will be required to assist with minor maintenance, security, housekeeping and customer service related tasks. You will be required to work approximately 2pm till 10pm, and also be willing to be ‘on call’ in case any urgent matters arise. We work on a 7 day roster, so there will also be the requirement to work weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Attend to guests’ After Hours enquiries, requests for minor maintenance and housekeeping items.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, clearing clogged drains, replacing plumbing fixtures.
• Log repairs or maintenance issues to be attended to by the maintenance team the following day.
• Secure the property after the front office closes and go through the closing procedure covering the swimming pool, reception, BBQ, property security checks, arming alarms etc.
• Conduct property security checks at 08:00pm and 10:00pm.
• Check sewerage pumps are functioning properly and alert GM / Maintenance if not.
• Assist the housekeeping department in supplying guest amenities. 

Requirements:

• Able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow staff members.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and willingness to adhere to these. 
• Physical fitness as this is a manual / hands on role.
• Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
• Ability to work alone, unsupervised.
• Current driver's licence.
