Situated in the grounds of Buller Wines in the Rutherglen Wine Region, The Pavilion Restaurant opens out on to the lush lawns overlooking the Calliope Vineyard.
With a focus on fresh, local produce, The Pavilion is open for lunch Wed - Sun, with guests who appreciate a relaxed dining experience and knowledgeable conversation with our crew.
The Pavilion is also a popular venue for functions and weddings, where the alfresco dining area, blends seamlessly with the outdoor areas to provide memorable events for our guests.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Front of House & Event Supervisor to join our team at The Pavilion, to bring a high level of energy and professionalism, creating unforgettable experiences for our guests and crew.
Main Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service at all times during service periods
- Ensure work stations are maintained, stocked up & presentable at all times
- Address & resolve any bar-related issues and escalate to management as required
- Complete opening and/or closing duties as assigned, and ensure readiness of crew, equipment, stock, stations and floor for service
Experience, Skills & Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience as a FOH / Event Supervisor or ready to step up
- Exceptional service skills and guest focus
- Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
- Organisational and time management skills
- Exemplary leadership with focus on developing crew
- Solid understanding of supervisory practices
- Exceptional communication and presentation
- Proactive, strong work ethic with a "can do" attitude
- Passion for hospitality
- Ability and desire to mentor and lead others
- Able and willing to work weekends, occasional public holidays, opening and closing shift and occasional evenings for events.
