The Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) have been walking for over 30 years, offering amazing wilderness experiences to our guests in some of Tasmania's most special and remote wilderness locations. We work to deliver true Tasmanian hospitality as we create connections between people and place in remote cultural landscapes. Whilst our roots lie in Tassie, we additionally operate on mainland Australia as The Australian Walking Company with offerings in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria.

We are expanding as we introduce a number of new walks across Tasmania and mainland Australia. Our guest’s first experience with the Tasmanian Walking Company is with you! As a Guest Services Consultant, you will be our walker’s first point of contact and you will help provide each guest with the ultimate experience on our walks. You will collaborate with our sales team and be responsible for the collection, processing, and provision of guest information, and providing prompt responses to guest questions regarding their booking.

This is a full-time permanent position, working with a team of passionate professionals behind you who engage with your ongoing development and learning.

The team inhabits a heritage-listed Chalmers Church located in the heart of the Launceston CBD. A convict-built landmark that was thoughtfully restored into a functional open plan office, staying true to the gothic revival architecture that makes this building truly unique. With sunlight streaming through the original stained windows, Chalmers is a vibrant and stylish office that’s also reflective of the fun and supportive culture of our team.

What you will bring:

We are looking for a passionate, people-focused individual who is creative, pragmatic and possesses strong attention to detail. You will be efficient and have strong customer service skills and a passion for providing the very best in adventure and ecotourism to ensure we meet our guests' high expectations.

In addition, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience working within an administrative or customer-focused role, preferably within the Australian tourism industry.
• Previous experience using CRM systems.
• High levels of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Relevant CRM and lead management software experience.
