An exciting opportunity has become available for a professional, organized and customer-focused Guest Services Team Leader to work with one of Assetlink premiere retail sites:  QIC Watergardens Shopping Centre. You will oversee and manage the operations of the cleaning and security team as well as deliver a high level of presentation and cleaning standards. 

Work hours are as follows: 

Monday to Friday: 9am - 3pm

You will be responsible for:

  • Become a trusted partner and subject matter expert (SME) for the Client for your area of responsibility.
  • Working closely with security, maintenance and cleaning teams
  • Attend and participate in regular meetings with Client and/or Stakeholders to report on performance-related KPI's and operational issues.
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of management systems.
  • Proactive in anticipating issues and closing out accordingly.
  • Attend and manage various cleaning inspection forums with the client and/or stakeholder groups.
  • Track progress of service delivery and regularly report this to the Client representatives.
  • Identify any problem areas affecting your area of responsibility and develop, implement and monitor appropriate strategies to address these issues.
  • Participate as an active member of the cleaning Services Team and lead/manage this personnel.
  • Manage a large team and providing strong leadership, coaching, mentoring and inspiration to your teams to deliver the Assetlink Way.
  • Contractor Management
  • Undertake staff training and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements;

To be considered for the position you must have:

  • Client relationship management ability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Influencing & relationship development skills
  • Extensive facilities management/cleaning experience and background within a large retail/commercial environment
  • Capacity to proactively deal with issues and their causes.
  • High standards of personal grooming, presentation and professional conduct.
  • Demonstrating passion and commitment whilst understanding the importance of delivering customer service to the highest standard.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to motivate your team.
  • Requires ability to work irregular/extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
  • Thorough working knowledge on the use and general maintenance of mechanical cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  •  Competent computer skills are an absolute necessity.
  •  Familiar with OHS practices and legislation
