About The Role:
Rydges Sydney Central is a 309 room hotel located near Central station in Surry Hills. You will be responsible for providing an effective maintenance service to all departments. This includes hands-on work and assisting the Maintenance Manager with various projects. You will be efficient with all maintenance works are carried out to the highest standard possible while maintaining a safe environment for all stakeholders and property. This is in conjunction with follow-through of the hotel work request management.
The successful candidate needs to possess the following experience and skills:
- Technical background with maintenance experience.
- Be well presented.
- Complete daily rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
- Assist in keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant & equipment.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Complete all tasks where possible within the required time frame once the request is received.
- Ensure the external areas of the hotel are neat and tidy and maintained.
Report back on the completion, or delay, of any task that is guest related. - Carry out preventative and repair painting where required throughout the Hotel.
- Available to carry our emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours.
- Trade qualification in painting will be an advantage.
