About you
We're seeking a Hardware/Electronics Technician to join our compact yet dynamic production team, offering room for skill growth and contribution to QuantX Labs' optical technology prototyping. This role involves various responsibilities, such as inventory management, assembly, testing, inspection, and documentation of electromechanical assemblies. Beyond these tasks, you'll have the chance to assist in rapid prototyping, fault diagnosis, and repair of electronic assemblies for other QuantX Labs projects. To excel, you must be adaptable and proactive, as our small team relies on your self-management and process enhancement skills. You should also be open to occasional travel, up to 2 weeks per installation, to remote defence sites across Australia and local off-site support tasks.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Hardware Support
• Evaluate and procure appropriate hardware components,
• Assist with the setup and optimization of laboratory spaces,
• Interpret technical drawings and documentation to manufacture electro-mechanical assemblies,
• Perform bench testing of various systems and sub-systems, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting,
• Assist in the review and development of documentation, process and procedures.
Product Development
• Work with project teams to support the design, development and testing activities related to product development,
• Assist with the manufacturing and testing of prototypes and products,
• Maintain product development artefacts such as bill of materials (BOM), circuit diagrams and design technical documents,
• Assist with the review of product documentation.
