Purpose: As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, and specifically the Production Support Sub-Team, you'll deliver first port of call production support to the operational areas of the business (SMT, Assembly, and Stores) on nightshift. Additionally, you'll provide electronic and technical support for the development, improvement, maintenance, calibration, validation, commissioning, and ongoing successful operation of the company’s test equipment and manufacturing cells.
This role is a Night Shift role undertaken 10.30PM - 7.00AM
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure production breakdowns and equipment failures are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Complete preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
- Create/contribute to supporting documentation related to the maintenance of production equipment.
- Repair and upgrade equipment as required with a fix-it-forever attitude.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electronic Engineering (or working towards), or relevant technical experience.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Electronic experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated capabilities in analysis of electronic faults and development of test equipment.
- Experience with consumer electronic products including battery chargers, power supplies, inverters, DC/DC voltage converters.
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels through a business – influence, support, encourage, and guide individuals.
- Previous experience in new product development and introductions.
Desirable:
- Experience of working on projects using the APQP or Stage Gate process.
- Knowledge of ISO9000 and ISO14001 Quality & Environmental standards.
- Supervision of small groups of technical staff.
- Experience with modern manufacturing principles including continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.
- Experience with Altium Designer and Lab View software packages as well as the Microsoft Office suite of products.
