As part of our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business, our Protected Vehicles team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. We have an excellent opportunity to join us as a Hardware Engineer - Mechanical based in our Brisbane office. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will take in charge the research and development of mechanical design, simulation and testing to contribute to the development of a hardware solution or product. You will be performing a subset of all the Hardware Engineering activities applicable to Mechanical Engineering and work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture mechanical design solutions.

- Proven experience in Hardware Engineering industry with a strong technical background in mathematics, science, and computer science, with a great knowledge of mechanical laws, norms and standards.
- Have experience in execution of the engineering DDQS (Design, Develop & Qualify the Solution) activities for Sub-Systems.
- You are proficient with several related tools, methods and processes such as Catia, Solidworks, Smarteam, PTC Creo, PTC PDMLink, Siemens NX, Autodesk Autocad or similar.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, 3D CAD and PLM Systems along with good understanding of quality systems and procedures.
- You have great problem-solving and decision-making skills, which makes you able to approach complex issues with curiosity and determination.
