Your opportunity to join us
You will support our Mt Alford Hatchery (4310 area) to process and inspect eggs as well as work with chicks. We are looking for people who are flexible to cover various shifts and weekend work as and when the need arises in order to support the team.
Daily Tasks:
- No experience required, on the job training provided
- Process and inspect eggs and chicks safely and systematically
- Completing manual handling tasks
- Clean and maintain a clean workspace
- Store and maintain materials, equipment and tools
- Identify and escalate Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality issues, hazards and risks
- Take personal responsibility to ensure livestock is treated humanely by self and others

To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Perform repetitious tasks efficiently, correctly and systematically
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment
- To be able to successfully communicate written and verbally
- Good level of fitness is required as you will manually handle up to 5kg – 15kg
