The Role

Reporting to the Events Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of civic and community events, community engagement programs, administering Council’s Event Strategy and Council’s Event Sponsorship Program and the assistance with general public relations, community liaison and media relations including managing a range of communication programs relating to events within the Corporate Communications and Events Branch. The role will provide advisory services for prospective event organisers and act as a catalyst for the development of partnerships and cooperative arrangements for the benefit of the City.

You will are passionate about community and general public relations . You will be eager to deliver exceptional experiences to the community whilst being an ambassador for Hawkesbury City Council.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in the delivery of civic and community events and the delivery of event policy and procedures as it related to Local Government
• Understanding of event related legal, contractual and risk management issues
• Knowledge of social media platforms to engage and connect with target audiences
• Experience working with volunteers, voluntary committees and community organisations
• Excellent computer skills
• Able to commit to a Part Time roster, including Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
