We have current opportunities for Systems Safety Engineers to join our team.
Your responsibilities could include but not limited to:
• Perform System Safety requirements analysis.
• Undertake System Safety programs iaw MIL-STD-882E standard, or similar.
• Investigate and resolve System Safety related technical issues as they arise.
• Development of safety cases.
• Participate or facilitate workshops, including System Safety Working Groups with customer stakeholders.
• Preparation and review of hazard identification documents, together with develop-ment of risk assessment documentation as required.
• Develop and manage project Hazard Log.
• Support project milestones and Mandated System Reviews
• Liaison with System Safety Program stakeholders e.g. project members, customers, end users and contractors, as required.
About you
• You'll need experience in a Defence project setting - preferably Maritime activities (if you don't have Maritime experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you)
• B.Eng degree (Electrical or software highly regarded)
• An Australian Citizen with a current or recently inactive AGSVA clearance
• Self-starter who takes the initiative
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Ability to work autonomously
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work either individually or as part of a broader team
