Job Description:
As the Head Baker, you will be the driving force behind our bakery's culinary creations. Your expertise, creativity, and leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining our bakery's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of bakery production, from recipe development to final presentation.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of bakers, ensuring high standards of skill and performance.
- Develop and refine recipes, taking into consideration customer preferences and trends.
- Coordinate and monitor daily baking schedules to ensure consistent product availability.
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a clean and organised workspace.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to address customer inquiries and special orders.
- Innovate by introducing new products, flavours, and seasonal offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a leadership role in a bakery setting.
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and recipe development.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
