2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year for The Mulberry Group. We are now looking for a Head Barista to join us as we launch a new concept in mid June. Little Molli will be a 30 seat grab and go cafe & deli concept operating 7 days focussed on incredible produce, tasty pastries and sandwiches and building a strong local community.
Little Molli will be next to our newest bar and bistro opening at the same time, ensuring a lot of crossover and collaboration.

Our venues today include Hazel, Dessous, Liminal, Lilac Wine, Heide Kitchen, Square One Coffee Roasters and our regenerative agricultural farm and social enterprise, Common Ground Project. Across our venues we now have a team of over 170 amazing people, and counting.

About the role
As the Head Barista reporting to the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Making beautiful coffee in a fast-paced environment
- Ensuring our coffee standards are maintained and training junior staff on the machine
- Collaborating with the team at Square One Coffee Roastery and becoming an ambassador for our own coffee
- Supervising the front-of-house team when the Venue Manager is away
- Ordering and stock rotation
- Ensuring that the guest experience delivered is aligned with the identity of the venue.
- Creating lasting connections and relationships with the local community
- The ongoing training, coaching, and development of your team.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- A natural ability to build community and relationships with the locals who will be our cornerstone. A confident and positive attitude is a must
- Excellent barista skills and experience in a high-volume venue
- A genuine passion for hospitality and coffee
- The ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and with our regulars and suppliers
- An interest in developing your leadership skills
- A talent for multitasking and problem solving.
- A proactive nature and the initiative to drive growth and improvement throughout the venue.
- Excellent communication skills
