Bark Subiaco is seeking a passionate kitchen professional to join the team in a Head Chef role. You will be working with our team to enhance our existing business; building upon our current menus and managing operations.
This role suits an individual with kitchen management experience and a lunch / cafe background.
BARK
We are an Australiana inspired cafe and bar. Our menu reflects our venue theme: a modern take on Australian nostalgia whilst keeping the dishes tasty and unpretentious.
ROLE
- 30 - 40 hrs per week available.
- Employment can be on a full-time or casual basis.
- Level 4 or 5 award rate, based on experience.
- Monday to Friday lunch service and prep.
- Lunch menu development.
- Rostering.
- Ordering, stock control and costings.
- Overseeing kitchen staff to maintain consistency and high standards of product quality, preparation, hygiene protocols, training etc.
- Working with the Venue Manager in day to day operations and development of food offerings.
- Communicating with the evening chef to ensure a cohesive and smooth dinner service.
YOU
- Experience in a similar role. Cafe and lunch service.
- Confident to lead.
- Be passionate about yummy food - familiar, with modern trends.
- You will need to be able to take initiative, self-sufficient, a can-do attitude, ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Flexible.
- Available for Day shifts Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm.
- Evening shifts available if desired by the applicant.
