Civeo Australia is looking for an experienced Head Chef (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or trade certificate) to work closely with the Village Managers to deliver exceptional food at Prominent Hill. The primary focus of the role is to ensure a well-run kitchen operation for residents of the village. This is a fly-in-fly-out role (FIFO) departing from Adelaide or Port Augusta on an 8:6 roster.What's in it for you?

- 5+ years' cumulative chef experience, preferably working in a large hotel or remote village environment (FIFO or DIDO) with at least 3+ years supervising and managing a team of chefs
- Strong experience with ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food service
- Strong experience in a bulk/batch cooking environment
- Excellent stock control is a crucial part of this position to ensure we meet contractual requirements and minimize food waste
- Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate
- Clear communicator with the ability to cope with pressures in a remote catering environment
- Applied knowledge of HACCP principles in a bulk cooking environment
- Ability to create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Applied knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance requirements
- Intermediate skills with regard to Microsoft Office applications
- Budgetary and analytical skills
- Knowledge of relevant kitchen chemicals, including their application and storage.
