The Role
The Mediterranean driven offer at Stoke Pasta & bar offers a more relaxed approach to dining, with a focus on high-quality produce and premium service. We‘re all about all-day dining, flavoursome food and good vibes. Whilst pasta may be the venue’s draw-card, there are also snacks and share plates aplenty. As such your creativity will be put to the test as you embark on your own culinary journey with our group. As Head Chef in charge of the kitchen, you will work alongside, and be mentored by Stokehouse Exec chef Jason Staudt as we continue to go from strength to strength.
This role you will:
- Work with Group Exec chef Jason Staudt to develop and drive the Mediterranean focused menu
- Manage day to day kitchen operations with passion and enthusiasm
- Mentor and develop your team of culinary enthusiasts
- Work with the leadership team to manage wages, cog’s and operational expenses
- Continue to drive the culture that has set our restaurant group to be an ‘employer of choice’
The Expectation
You will be an upbeat individual who is self-driven and passionate, and possess strong organisational skills. You will also bring to the role;
- Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in a similar fast-paced and high volume environment
- Creativity in all its forms. From ideas for new dishes, to a curiosity in cooking techniques. You will also drive this creativity with your loyal team
- A hands-on and operational approach to running our busy kitchen
- Strong COG’s management skills, and the ability to teach your team this great skill
- A natural and enthusiastic leadership style, a great sense of humour and a passionate approach to dining excellence
