Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Accounts / Financial Controller to manage the accounts for three companies. This high-level role involves overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and driving improvements in our processes and reporting. You will work closely with directors and external accountants, ensuring all financial activities are correctly executed and reported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts for three separate companies within our group
- Oversee company transfers, payments to creditors, and ensure compliance
- Act as the primary account manager, handling all information and cast forecasting
- Work directly with directors on financial strategies and forecasts
- Ensure buildings and leases are paid for and expenses are allocated correctly
- Manage profit and loss statements, expenses, and payroll
- Support and supervise the accounts team, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy
- Liaise with external accountants for final account preparation
- Maintain and improve existing reporting processes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar high-level financial role
- Proficiency in MYOB and familiarity with Simpro (training available)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with stakeholders
- Ability to oversee and mentor the accounts team
- Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimisation
