Your new role
Working as the Head of Collections & Hardships you will be:
- Developing and building out the collection policies, procedures and liaising with the Head of Credit and CRO to ensure all risk requirements are met
- Implementing policies and procedures for your existing team, whilst growing your department and leading the existing team members
- Expanding collections, hardships and retentions to have another level of leadership over time
- Assisting with complex cases within the collection portfolio and advising your team on how to think outside the box
- Leading and coaching on collections, hardships, retentions and processing
- Liaising with Senior Management on all reporting aspects, including presenting figures at board meetings once a month.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need;
- Previous experience as a Collections Manager (hardships and retentions experience is also required)
- Experience in Consumer Lending, Asset & Equipment Finance
- Experience in creating and implementing new policies/processes
- Tech savviness, having worked with various systems, helped with system upgrades and tech feedback
- People skills, being able to work in a diverse and engaging environment
- An innovative and go-getter approach
