The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Head of Compliance to join our Legal and Governance team on a permanent basis, this position can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.
Reporting to the General Manager Risk, Compliance & Insurance, you will be responsible for the design of the Enterprise Compliance Management Policy and Framework and leads the development of Compliance programs, processes and tools to support the Framework. The role is a trusted advisor providing specialist compliance advice, coaching and support on execution of the enterprise Compliance Management and Policy Frameworks across all APA employees.
Key Responsibilities
Provide General Executives with a clear understanding of the inherent and residual risk of their Compliance Plans and obligations within those Plans, and the adequacy and effectiveness of respective controls within their Business Unit
Drive the annual compliance plan verification process with Executives and General Managers
Design and implement a line 2 assurance program to support the compliance plan verification process
Responsible for centralised Compliance programs including SoCI, AFSL, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Whistleblower, Conflicts of Interest
Support business areas where Compliance and Regulatory programs are managed within operational Business Units
Responsible for design, maintenance and reporting of the Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality program, including coaching and training across the enterprise
Lead the compliance champion network to drive engagement across the business on Compliance obligations and control effectiveness
About You
Tertiary qualification and relevant work experience in related discipline
15+ years business experience including working in a senior Compliance leadership role with substantial knowledge and experience managing a range of Compliance programs and activities for mid-large size organisations
Proven experience in developing and implementing frameworks and procedures
Proven experience in IT GRC systems
