A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing and successful organisation in the next phase of their expansion.About the RoleThis role will provide critical support to the Chief Technology Officer. Your primary goal will be to help the business use data to drive high performance and quality; implementing tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights. You will also take a leadership role in enterprise data governance, enhancing data quality and master data management.The key responsibilities will be…Leadership and Team Management:

• Build and nurture a high-performing team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
• Ensure alignment of team objectives with organizational goals and priorities.

Data Strategy Implementation:

• Develop and implement a multi-year Data Strategy for the organization.
• Define key elements including data governance, data ownership, data protection, data quality, data lifecycle management, and master data management.
• Drive the adoption of strategies to enhance insights for decision making.

Resource Planning and Allocation:

• Plan and organise the allocation of resources to ensure projects and BAU activities are delivered within timelines and SLAs.
• Monitor resource utilisation and adjust allocations as necessary to meet evolving business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Establish broad and deep relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
• Proactively engage stakeholders to identify data pain points, priorities, and strategies for improvement.

Project Oversight and Delivery:

• Oversee the delivery of all data and analytics projects across the portfolio.
• Ensure projects are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver desired outcomes.

Data Governance and Policy Development:

• Establish and implement an effective data governance framework, policies, tools, and procedures spanning the full data lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

BI and Analytics Roadmap Development:

• Develop a roadmap for BI and analytics to deliver richer insights and support decision making.
• Identify technology solutions and platforms to enable effective delivery of the BI strategy.

Technology Architecture and Implementation:

• Architect and implement technology solutions to support the BI strategy.
• Leverage data warehousing, data lakes, AI, and shop floor integration to optimise data management and analytics processes.

Industry Trends Monitoring:

• Keep abreast of Data industry trends and advancements.
• Incorporate relevant innovations into organizational strategies and practices.

Master Data Management Oversight:

• Provide oversight and guidance in the development and implementation of a master data strategy.
• Ensure processes and ownership are embedded to maintain high-quality master data.

Vendor Management:

• Manage vendor relationships to ensure services delivered align with service level and financial objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend fit-for-purpose technology tools to support master data management across the organisation.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in leading IT Master Data and Business Intelligence functions, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects and initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of Data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and master data management.
• Demonstrated expertise in architecting and implementing technology solutions for BI and analytics, including data warehousing and AI.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve excellence.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to establish rapport and build consensus across diverse groups.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies in the field of Data management and analytics.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
