- Define and execute the Data Technology Delivery Strategy within Retirement Solutions, working closely with key stakeholders and external clients.
- Develop best in class data and analytics capabilities across the group on the MUFG Pension & Market Services data platforms.
- Define and execute a 3-year data delivery road map to agreed budget and timescales including realisation and measurement of benefits.
- Manage and optimize global capacity and technology data delivery at scale across all data platforms including decommissioning of deprecated platforms.
- Provide thought leadership on the value and delivery of Data within the Superannuation industry.
- Identify, screen, and evaluate new data solution opportunities to generate maximum value for the clients and MUFG Pension & Market Services.
- Consistently seek opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation across the data domain
- Lead the communities of practise in data enablement for all delivery domains including Core and Digital
- Leadership to the business and stakeholders on the value of business data enablement and use of Data science and analytics
- Client engagement where required to share the MUFG RS Data strategy and ongoing initiatives
- Develop and cultivate close working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients including the Data team, the Product team, Service Experience, and other internal data stakeholders.
- Regularly seek feedback from our stakeholders and external clients on our roadmap and service and provide insights and actions to continuously innovate and improve.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams driving projects from ideation to launch.
- Provide Data Technology SME consulting to the business and external clients.
- Communicate technical concepts to our clients in a simple manner.
- Daily management of the data platforms within acceptable service levels
- Management and resolutions of all data incidents including on weekends.
- Management and resolution of all data audit and corrective actions and ensure that this is a downward trend including aged incidents.
- Identification of tech debt and development of appropriate remediation programs
- Provide accurate and timely reporting:
- Cadence of Data development
- Data roadmap development and execution
- Delivery of client implementations on time
- Data security and privacy
- Interpreting future data trends into action
- Provide valuable insight and analysis on our data product performance so standards can be improved and streamlined.
- Support change within the MUFG Retirement Solutions Data Technology Team, providing direction, guidance and support to the people who are implementing change and those having to adapt to change.
- Focus on leadership and professional development of the direct team.
- Support a strong Customer First service culture and uphold organisation's values while driving a high performance, innovative culture in the Team.
- Embed MUFG Pension & Market Services purpose and values in people management and operating practices.
- Act on MUFG Pension & Market Services Listen staff feedback.
- Drive activities to support the MUFG Pension & Market Services diversity and inclusion objectives.
- Forecast resourcing requirements of the Team, to enable delivery against service levels and to build team capability.
- Ensure key performance indicators are measured, analysed, and accurately reported to stakeholders for incidents of all priorities.
- Take a lead on the management of risk, dependencies and issues associated with tech delivery.
- Manage audit requirements and any associated actions.
- Create a mindset and culture of innovation in the Data Technology team.
- Measurement of innovation initiatives with benefit realisation in the Data Domain.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Head of Data within a business working on data delivery for enterprise client.
- Experience in Snowflake
- Have a view on the future of Data trends with Insurance and Superannuation.
- Ideally experience in the Superannuation Industry or at a minimum the financial services industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels of the organisation and build strong relationships and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Highly effective communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
- Strong business acumen and experience in managing financials and budgets.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and developing teams.
- Able to communicate a compelling vision and purpose to broader team.
