What is the role?
As the Head of Department - IT, you will spearhead the department's direction, formulate and execute IT strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives. This pivotal role entails strategic and operational leadership, coupled with hands-on management to resolve issues and propel departmental triumphs.
The key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing IT strategy by aligning it with business objectives and driving IT initiatives.
- Overseeing IT operations, managing IT and IS functions to ensure optimal performance.
- Leading and inspiring the IT team, developing clear plans and KPIs to drive performance.
- Managing the IT budget, approving expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Implementing robust security and risk management practices to ensure IT security.
- Providing and managing innovative voice and data communication solutions.
- Leading and managing changes related to IT projects to support organizational change.
- Ensuring the efficiency and uptime of IT infrastructure.
- Delivering IT services in line with service level agreements and managing help desk activities.
- Maintaining vendor relationships and managing IT assets effectively.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in IT leadership roles.
- Background of industry experience within hospitality, retail and/or franchising sector is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security and best practices.
- Proficiency in managing corporate and regional IT infrastructure.
- Expertise in project management methodologies.
- Financial acumen for budgeting and resource management.
