We are currently seeking a passionate Centre Director to lead and mentor a dynamic team of skilled educators. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality care and education aligned with our philosophy and values.

Responsibilities: As the Centre Director, you will collaborate with and support the educational leader in setting the pedagogical approach and guide the team in their planning and critical reflection. As the Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the service.

About us: St Hurmizd Early Learning Centre is a small Centre, fully owned and operated by Assyrian Christian Schools and is located within the grounds of St. Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School. Qualification Requirements

1. Recognised university qualification in Early Childhood Education as approved by ACECQA.
2. Registration with NESA as an accredited early childhood teacher        
3. Must be able to meet the minimum prescribed requirements of a Nominated Supervisor as per the Education and Care Services National Regulations
4. Must hold a current Working with Children Check number WWCC. 
5. Must hold a current first aid & CPR certificate or be willing to obtain one.
6. Must undertake a National Police Check

Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Comprehensive understanding and practical implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF), the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Child Protection legislation and their implications.
• Experience in the Quality Assessment & rating process.
• Ability to establish, foster, and nurture collaborative partnerships with families, children & other educators as well as the local community.
• Experience working as an early childhood teacher within an early childhood setting, with a minimum of two years working as a Centre Director.
• Proven leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
• Financial management skills, including the ability to work within assigned budgets.
• Sound understanding of Early childhood theory and curriculum planning for children aged 3-5 years and demonstrated ability to engage in reflective practice.
• Be innovative and an organised communicator who leads and directs all aspects of the Early Years practices.
• Ability to collaborate with members of the school community to build a team environment that supports children’s learning.
• Commitment to inclusive practice.
