The Emergency Management group includes the department's emergency management accountabilities delivered through Emergency Management Victoria, Emergency Recovery Victoria, Sector Performance and Reform and emergency management statutory entities and offices. The work of the group supports the emergency management sector to work together and to strengthen the capacity of individuals, communities, government, agencies and business to achieve our shared vision of safer and more resilient communities and to rebuild and recover after an emergency.
EM Technology and Data is responsible for both national and state technology platforms that enable communications to and from the community, sector operational communications and sector information systems.
About the role
The Head ofEM ICN Platforms and Products will provide leadership and oversight of ICT governance, change, risk management and processes.
Some of your duties will include:
- Lead a team of technical experts in the service management of business applications and infrastructure. Responding to new and emerging issues in the area of expertise including provision of continuous improvement of infrastructure and broader software development practice.
- Maintain the highest standard of service delivery to the EM Sector responding to technical issues and ensuring product lifecycle is maintained. Provide expert guidance to projects and delivery of strategic IT programs and initiatives.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including release management, change control and configuration management processes.
To be successful you will have:
- Expert level experience in ITL service management with a focus on service delivery.
- Expert knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and operation of complex Emergency Sector's infrastructure and technical environments.
- Expert level experience leading technical development teams utilising DevOps and Agile disciplines as part of their software development lifecycle.
- A relevant tertiary level ICT qualification is essential. Post graduate qualifications are desirable.
