Our client is rapidly growing in the process of significant transformation and change - working to establish a first-class capability across the corporate function.
With strong capital investment, high growth prospects, acquisitional growth and a number of key projects in play, the Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in securing the long-term prospects of the business.
Due to several business-critical projects surrounding a group within their portfolio, we now have a new requirement to bolster their finance team. As part of this, we require an experienced commercially minded Finance Director to manage a the BAU financial control function and process improvement surrounding the integration of a recent acquisition.
The Role
The Head of Finance will report to the CFO and have oversight of financial reporting, management accounting & FP&A, Finance Operations and Finance Leadership in the organisation. This is a role for the driven and ambitious - with the potential for the right candidate to continue growing their career within the organisation.
As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for;
- Monitoring Financial Accounting and directing the preparation of budgets, forecasts and reports
- Implement, maintain, and manage a range of systems and processes across reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
- Make recommendations on organisational strategy based on high quality financial analysis.
- Reviewing and understanding current processes surrounding balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting to identify areas of improvement and automation.
- Due diligence of potential transactions
- Provide leadership and direction for a team of direct and indirect reports.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Change management within finance and across the business to maintain and develop cultural improvements.
By effectively supporting the CFO, you will enable the organisation to meet deadlines, achieve goals set and continue to grow the business.
Your Profile
As a proven Finance leader, you are an ambitious and driven individual with the ability to think strategically and to ensure those around you meet the standards you set. Leading by example will be crucial and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively on complex matters will be something you are comfortable with.
With a CA/CPA qualification, you will have a solid grounding in financial control with the added flair and commerciality of a true finance professional. You must be able to demonstrate the highest levels of technical oversight from a management perspective, along with the ability to identify areas of improvement within business systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will be capable of making this role their own, regardless of sector experience.
