Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, aligning with organisational goals and regulatory requirements
- Provide insights into financial performance, risks and opportunities to guide decision-making
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and implement corrective measures as needed
Risk Management
- Assess financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies
- Provide recommendations for optimising the company’s risk profile and ensuring financial stability
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and professional development
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring their success and growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, MBA/CPA preferred
- Proven experience in a senior finance role
- Knowledge of insurance financial reporting and regulatory compliance preferred
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology
