Responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Planning

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, aligning with organisational goals and regulatory requirements
• Provide insights into financial performance, risks and opportunities to guide decision-making

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and implement corrective measures as needed

Risk Management

• Assess financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies
• Provide recommendations for optimising the company’s risk profile and ensuring financial stability

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and professional development
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring their success and growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, MBA/CPA preferred
• Proven experience in a senior finance role
• Knowledge of insurance financial reporting and regulatory compliance preferred
• Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology
