Headquartered in Brisbane, and with operations now spanning Australia, the UK, and the US, we’re looking for the right person to take the financial reins and help strategically accelerate Askable towards our somewhat lofty goals.
Role Overview:
As Head of Finance, your leadership will be crucial as we navigate this exciting phase of expansion. You will be responsible for scaling and leading our finance operations, ensuring excellence in financial reporting, modelling, and analysis across our global SaaS business. Your strategic insights will be vital in shaping executive decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing critical insights to inform strategic decision-making. Develop robust financial models to identify growth opportunities and support decisions, being mindful of market dynamics and international expansion.
- Group Restructuring: Oversee efforts to ensure an optimal corporate structure for tax efficiency, risk mitigation, and transfer pricing. Collaborate closely with external tax advisors across all jurisdictions to maintain compliance and best practices. Lead key projects to align our accounting and revenue recognition with GAAP standards.
- Operational and Commercial Efficiency: Partner with the CEO and Head of Product to devise effective customer pricing models. Lead the development of scalable accounting systems to enhance financial operations globally, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Corporate Governance: Manage reporting obligations to directors and investors, ensuring transparency and compliance with business milestones and objectives. Establish robust treasury practices to manage cash and investments efficiently.
- Team Leadership and Development: Recruit and develop top finance talent, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Mentor the finance team to enhance their skills and capabilities, promoting a supportive and high-performance work environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in investment banking or corporate finance, followed by financial leadership within a high-growth technology business.
- Exceptional financial modelling skills.
- A proven track record of managing finance functions within fast-growing technology firms.
- A deep understanding of the dynamics and growth levers in a SaaS environment.
- Familiarity with financial regulations in Australia, the UK, and the USA.
