The Opportunity
HeliMods is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Finance with a minimum of 20 years relevant industry experience, preferably with 5 years of experience in the aerospace sector or in an advanced manufacturing industry.
As the Head of Finance at HeliMods, you will be responsible for all financial activities of HeliMods, ensuring the financial strength and sustainability of our organisation and compliance with regulations.
Reporting to the Managing Director and Executive Directors of HM Group, you will be a key contributor to strategic planning and responsible for the financial analysis, reporting and forecasting that supports HeliMods growth objectives.
Working alongside other senior members of HeliMods your financial reporting and insights will improve the financial performance and efficiency of the organisation and ensure that HeliMods continues to deliver industry leading outcomes for its customers.
Your financial analysis and scenario modelling will inform investment decisions made by HeliMods and HM Group such that HeliMods continues to lead the market in advancing aerospace technologies for civil and defence aviation programs worldwide.
You will be required to work as part of our agile, collaborative and growing team, providing financial leadership across the organisation and supporting our business units and their staff to achieve great outcomes.
The Head of Finance is a senior role that requires an outcome focussed leader with excellent strategy, financial management and communication skills. Successful performance in the role has the potential to present career progression opportunities both within HeliMods and the wider HM Group.

Requirements
- High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism;
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong strategic thinking capability, financial acumen and an ability to translate financial insights into strategies, actions and outcomes;
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader, preferably in a similar industry;
- A natural interest in technology including its use to drive efficiency and high productivity;
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics or related field. CA or CPA preferred.
Inherent Requirements
- Does not have an existing criminal conviction.
- Due to the nature and privilege of information, and in accordance with Australian Standards for Workforce Screening (ISO 4811-2022), it is an inherent requirement that a security clearance and police check are obtained prior to employment. HeliMods will cover the cost of these clearances should your application be successful.
