That's why we are seeking a talented individual to lead our Group IT function and shape our digital future. You will lead a team of IT professionals and work closely with the Group Chief Information Officer to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects, services and operations.
About the Role
As the Head of Group IT, you will be responsible for overseeing our entire information and communication technology landscape including the service desk. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Technology, Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a technology strategy that is aligned with the Group IT objectives, under the guidance of the GCIO ensuring group IT Strategy alignment and consistency.
- Leadership and Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the IT team to achieve excellence in service delivery while establishing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Technology Infrastructure and Services: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure and systems to support business operations including structuring the team to ensure services are managed effectively with the correct governance and interaction with our Cyber Security function.
- Support and Collaboration: Provide leadership and direction in IT-related issues to support business departments identifying and implementing technology solutions that will improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT team. Lead digital transformation initiatives ensuring the organisation remains competitive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the GCIO and other technology leaders to ensure alignment of the division's technology strategy with the overall organisational goals to ensure silos are not created within the team. Engage with divisional leaders and teams to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions and value.
About You
The successful applicant must possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strategic Vision: Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business goals and drive digital transformation.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Business Acumen: Strong business understanding and the ability to translate technology concepts into practical solutions that deliver value.
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
