The Head of HaSS as a senior leadership position, will lead the strategic direction of the HaSS Department and map and drive the MLC Learning Framework across all HaSS courses. It will build and guide a committed team of teaching professionals who strive for continuous improvement, and it will lead collaboration with other disciplines in cross curriculum planning and projects.
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Advanced tertiary qualifications ideally at Masters level and eligibility for TRBWA registration
- Extensive experience teaching years 7-12 in a related HaSS specialty area
- Proven experience in managing and leading a positive and innovative academic teaching team
- Well developed people management, development, coaching and mentoring capabilities
- Ability to think strategically, identify improvement opportunities and to implement the Melbourne Metrics frameworks
- Highly developed information, communication and technology skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development for self and colleagues
- A commitment to the ethos of the College
- Strong advocacy for all girls' education and the promotion of all girls learning environments
