The School is seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and innovative Head of Humanities to join our School.
This ongoing appointment is 1.0 FTE commencing in 2025.This position has responsibility for leading a team of dynamic teachers to deliver the School’s Humanities programme from Years 7 to 12 and guide students to achieve excellent results in Humanities.
Previous leadership experience of a Humanities Department, including development and implementation of the Humanities Curriculum across various Humanities contexts, is desirable.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications for teaching Humanities subjects
- Ability to lead the development and implementation of the Humanities Curriculum
- Previous experience teaching Humanities for Years 7 to 12
- Previous ATAR teaching experience
- High pedagogical standards
- Exceptional quality pastoral care
- Enthusiasm in developing young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Growth mindset and can-do attitude
- Committed and collaborative team player
- Proficiency in utilising ICT in a classroom environment
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Previous experience as a Teacher in Charge or Head of Department
