The business has recently undertaken a strategic review of their technology strategy, structure and operating model, and the CIO has redesigned the technology organisation, resulting in the creation of a new senior leadership team structure for IT.

We are seeking an experienced Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations who is a highly skilled and visionary leader to shape the strategic landscape of our client’s technology services division.

Position Overview:

As the Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of IT Infrastructure, Networks and End-User Technology Services Delivery.

Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the delivery of end-user support, enabling technology, and championing service management best practices throughout the organisation; as well as delivering on a significant infrastructure, cloud and network footprint and related project initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 45 FTE across the IT Infrastructure, Cloud and Service Management domains.
• Overview the entire service lifecycle of Infrastructure and End User service systems and execution of the Technology work plan.
• Deliver a rationalised, streamlined EUC, Cloud and Network environment, as well as deliver on smaller tactical initiatives.
• Establish efficient, robust and equitable working relationships with strategic partners and vendors
• Design, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for the Infrastructure and End User Compute Platform Team.
• Drive the development of quality assurance and continuous improvement strategies for infrastructure, end user services, and service management processes.
• Assist in change management initiatives and ensure the enforcement of streamlined asset and configuration management processes.
• Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend and transform their requirements into efficient technology solutions.
• Incorporate Agile methodologies to streamline project execution for enhanced efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable experience of successfully leading a high-performing team within an evolving broader enterprise.
• Proven experience in delivering core infrastructure and end user computer services, with a platform mindset, in a complex hybrid cloud organisation.
• In-depth IT Infrastructure and Operations technical expertise, including across a complex enterprise environment and across a multi-vendor landscape.
• Knowledge of industry best practices including architectural principles, practices, and processes as applied in the delivery of technology platforms and environments.
• Experience in the development of a platform delivery roadmap within a complex organisational setting.
• Strong understanding of technology stacks, DevOps and automation methodologies, scripting languages, and workplace technology solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to support and coordinate complex programs of works.
