What you'll be doingThe Allied Health Department Head is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, leading the delivery of quality services in dietetics to patients/ clients of the SNSW Local Health District in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.Selection Criteria * Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia (DA).
- Demonstrated highly proficient written, verbal, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Extensive knowledge, clinical proficiency and ability to work collaboratively and lead a multidisciplinary team, taking leadership in clinical, operational, and service related decision making.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise the dietetics clinical workloads across a team of clinical and non-clinical staff in a regional area.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and leading the implementation of evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated experience in participating in service development and clinical research and knowledge of the research process.
- Demonstrated high level problem solving and project management skills.
- Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
