Our client is a well-known specialty Retail and Ecommerce group that has multiple brands as part of their portfolio. With product ranges that offer fashion trends at accessible price points, they have become an iconic shopping destination within Australia.
The Role
Reporting into the CEO, the Head of IT will be entrepreneurial with a transformational mindset to manage the current IT systems,
platforms and processes with the ability to strategically take the business forward.
The Head of IT will build and manage all business technology projects,
including the overall IT Strategy, Enterprise wide infrastructure and performance and Systems development.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensuring optimum performance of all IT Infrastructure and systems
• Development of IT strategy and direction in conjunction with the management team
• Cost management, departmental budgeting and forecasting
• Develop and manage a high performing team with structure and ability to exceed objectives
• Drive new technologies and innovation
• Stakeholder and 3rd party vendor management and negotiation
• Full lifecycle project management of business-critical projects
• Scope and Document Business requirements
• Ensure high quality delivery of all projects within agreed budgets and timeframes
• Helpdesk Support
• Ensure compliance with a relevant legislative requirements as applicable to IT systems and usage
• All other duties as reasonably requested.
Skills and Experience
• 3-5 years IT Management experience within a medium to large retailer
• NetSuite expertise (essential)
• Ability to effectively manage multiple commercial projects within tight timeframes
• Exceptional communicator at all levels
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and awareness of technology specific Retail industry trends, challenges, solutions, and best practices
• Proven leadership and motivational skills and experience in mentoring a small team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
