It is preferable for this role to be based in Melbourne or Brisbane however as a National, dynamic business this role can also be based in Sydney, Adelaide or Perth.

About the Role:
As the Head of IT Security and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will play a critical role in safeguarding the digital assets, data, and infrastructure of IntoWork Australia. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities while supporting the business's growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Group's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Lead the Right Fit For Risk (RFFR) Program and drive success to maintain accreditation.
- Manage a team of cybersecurity professionals and implement effective security measures.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and technologies to enhance the organisation's security posture.
- Collaborate with various departments to align security initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of security controls and incident response plans.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage cyber supply chain risk activities and ensure compliance.
- Provide regular security updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
- Promote a culture of security awareness and accountability across the organisation.
About You:
- Experience maintaining ISO 27001 accreditation and familiarity with the Australian Government's PSPF and ISM.
- Previous experience with government contracts and RFFR.
- Ability to communicate effectively at both business and technical levels.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
- Proven experience (8-10 years) in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and make informed decisions.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
