About the roleThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to own the end-to-end Learning & Organisational Development function. A standalone, varied and hands-on role, you’ll have responsibility and ownership to drive and implement plans for learning, leadership development, talent management, culture and diversity across the business, whilst still being hands on in delivering training and supporting manager capability.
In this role it will be essential to meet deadlines across a range of projects. You will have a passion for facilitating and coaching line managers as well as designing and implementing high quality learning and development training. Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of the Helia Leadership and Learning Curriculum including:
- Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team and people leaders to design and deliver workshops and learning opportunities for people at all levels
- Creating, sourcing and implementing leadership development programs that build capabilities and adapt to rapidly changing business requirements
- Developing and facilitating team effectiveness/team building programs
- Developing and maintaining informal education programs such as Lunch and Learns
- Supporting the business with maximising the Udemy online learning platform
- Plan and manage the Learning and Development budget.
- Design and implement plans and programs to enhance the talent management processes and continue to build the talent pipeline.
- Coach leaders at all levels to improve their skills in people leadership, change leadership, communication and influencing skills.
- Evolve and embed the Helia Future-fit capability framework.
- Lead the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda for Helia including leading the RAP Working Group
- Own and manage the employee engagement survey including supporting teams with interpreting results and developing action plans.
- Support with the preparation of Board papers outlining the impact of L&OD activities. Qualifications
- Around 15+ years’ experience with at least 7 years’ experience in the full spectrum of Organisational Development including facilitating, leadership development, diversity and inclusion and culture.
- Experience in creating learning strategy, designing, implementing, facilitating and evaluating learning programs.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into measurable learning outcomes.
- Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to design and run sessions upon request.
- A track record of successfully coaching managers and developing their capability, self-awareness and maturity of thought.
- Strong project management skills, highly organised and ability to work independently to tight deadlines whilst balancing conflicting demands.
- Engaging and confident presenter.
- Strong relationship management, interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to communicate and influence at senior levels across the business.
- Effective people leadership skills with the ability to lead without authority.
- Strong performance orientation and focus on results, with a demonstrated ability to execute under tight deadlines and to deliver.
