Good News Lutheran College (GNLC) is situated on 20 acres in Tarneit, approximately 30km south west of the Melbourne CBD. The College has grown significantly from its opening in 1997 with its first class of Year 12s graduating at the end of 2016. Student enrolments now exceed 1,600 with wait lists for all year levels, and a new campus at Mambourin opening in 2025. The College exists to provide a vibrant and challenging education for all our students through living Christ’s mission, empowering inquiring minds and preparing global citizens.
Reporting directly to the GNLC Principal – Fiona McAuliffe and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the new Mambourin Campus as it evolves, this is an outstanding opportunity to join this significant and highly successful educational institution in a truly ground breaking leadership position.
The College invites applications from appropriately qualified and experienced individuals with an authentic faith and excellent communication, engagement and mentoring capabilities. The successful candidate will be an outstanding educationalist able to provide vision for teaching and learning within a vibrant and progressive educational environment. The appointee will be a role model for both staff and students and will demonstrate the warmth, integrity, energy and passion required to engage with and inspire both the school community and the wider external partnerships with whom the school collaborates. Strong experience in early years education will be highly regarded as the new campus (which is already enjoying healthy enrolments) will be filling from the early years upwards.
Good News Lutheran College is much more than a school and plays a central role in community cohesiveness. The Head of Campus has a vital responsibility in guiding its students into the wider community beyond their schooling years.
