Reporting directly to the CEO, we are looking for a dynamic, experienced B2B senior marketing executive to join our team in Sydney to lead our marketing team and develop and implement effective marketing strategies to take our brand to the next level and drive leads for our sales and customer success team.

We are ideally looking for someone to take ownership of the marketing strategy, work closely with our product, sales, and customer success team to continue to grow Mint’s market share in the travel industry and achieve results through the continued growth of our customers and transaction volumes.

This is an exciting time to join Mint as we get ready to grow our market share to be the dominant and market leading payments provider in the Australian and New Zealand travel industry. This role will allow you to help shape the future of market leading payment and financial services products with a focus on solving problems in focus industry verticals and join a great team of highly skilled team of payment and technology experts. We are ideally looking for someone that has led a successful marketing team in a B2B environment. 


Job Purpose

The job purpose of the Head of Marketing & PR at Mint is to develop and implement comprehensive marketing and PR strategies and initiatives aimed at driving rapid and sustainable business growth. This includes leveraging data-driven insights to identify opportunities, designing and implementing innovative campaigns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve key performance metrics aligned with business goals and objectives. 

The Head of Marketing & PR plays a pivotal role in expanding the customer base, increasing revenue, and enhancing our product visibility through effective marketing strategies and tactics. In addition to assisting with the effective cross selling and upselling of our payment products and services across our growing customer base, you will also be charged with taking our brand to the next level. Mint is proud of our recent achievements and looking to bring our brand to the forefront through effective PR and communications locally and across the globe, which the Head of Marketing & PR will lead.


Objectives and Key Responsibilities 

The role will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and execute marketing strategies that are grounded in data to align with our key strategic initiatives and objectives.
  • Lead and manage our marketing team to execute campaigns across all channels, inclluding digital, social media, email and events.
  • Conduct and take a “hands on and roll up your sleeves” approach to develop impactful marketing campaigns and experiments.
  • Perform market research and analysis to pinpoint industry trends, opportunities, and obstacles.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, product, operations and customer success to ensure that marketing initiatives are aligned with overall business objecives.
  • Develop, implement and be responsible for the overall brand awareness of a company, driving forward the brand of Mint as a leading, payments solutions business in our industry verticals – starting with Travel across all our partner channels, customers, digital and social media properties;
  • Strategise and execute top-tier events in the market. 
  • Enhance Mint’s digital footprint and website for optimal performance. 
  • Develop a product marketing strategy to assist with the cross-selling and upselling of Mint’s products to our customers, with the goal of having the product sell / market itself.
  • Create and distribute product marketing content that effectively communicates our value proposition. 
  • Oversee the marketing budget and distribute resources efficiently to optimize return on investment.
  • Continuously monitor campaign performance and adapt as needed to meet our lead generation targets.


Required Skills and Experience 

The holder of this role will demonstrate the following skills and experience.

Experience and skills - essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Has led a successful marketing team in a B2B environment or demonstrated expertise in B2B SaaS growth marketing.
  • Proficient in articulating the value proposition throughout the customer journey.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Established history of driving customer acquisition, retention, and expansion through impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Enthusiastic about innovation and driven to consistently achieve growth objectives.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM systems (HubSpot) and / or payments industry is highly advantageous!
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the proven ability to work with cross functional teams to drive the implementation of new features as well as resolve operational issues.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written communication, plus strong documentation skills.

Non-technical skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills.
  • Able to work well both as part of a team & autonomously.
  • Proactive, self-starter and a strong work ethic.
