About The Opportunity:
Birchal is seeking a standout Head of Product to lead our product vision as we accelerate our growth. This role is a cornerstone of our product strategy, reporting directly to the CEO and closely collaborating with our exceptional design and engineering teams. In this role, you'll become the customer's champion within Birchal, harmonizing our efforts to address genuine challenges with innovative product solutions and streamlined processes.
In this pivotal position, you'll be steering the product's journey from ideation to launch, overseeing every phase of the product life cycle. Your mission will be to ensure that our product offerings not only resonate with our strategic ambitions but also profoundly satisfy our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
This role offers an exciting blend of responsibilities, including:
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Define, communicate and execute a clear product strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives
- Create a compelling product vision and roadmap, outlining short-term and long-term goals
- Contribute to longer-term company strategy as a valuable member of the leadership team
Product Development:
- Lead the end-to-end product development process through all the stages from discovery, inception to go to market and feedback
- Host product-driven ceremonies like Prioritisation and Story Mapping (including creating stories/tasks for the engineering team)
- Define and prioritise features based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to bring business stakeholders into the product design process
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Working closely with design and engineering to provide business content around product problems to be solved and identify and deliver value increments
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the product team
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and act as a liaison between different departments to ensure a shared understanding of Product goals and priorities
People Leadership:
- Keep the team focused on sprint goals, facilitating pivots as necessary, and manage the feedback cycle for continuous product enhancement
- Recruitment, and successful onboarding of new talent in the product and customer support space
- Assist with training, mentoring and upskilling of Product and support team members
Data Metrics and Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for product improvements
- Establish KPIs and regularly review product performance against these metrics
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve product features and functionality
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends, bringing valuable knowledge into the business and the industry
