The Role:
Reporting to the General Counsel and GM Property, the Head of Property is accountable for the overall strategic and operational management of the property portfolio and team for NSW Ports’ land holdings. You will support NSW Ports in achieving its strategic, financial, and sustainability objectives, the Head of Property is to develop, update and implement NSW Ports’:
- Property Strategy, to strategic plan land allocation, optimise revenue from the property portfolio and achieve NSW Ports’ strategic infrastructure capacity objectives.
- NSW Ports’ land acquisition strategy, including due diligence requirements.
- Master planning of specific sites / precincts as and when required.
- Ensure proper governance and compliance across the property portfolio.
- Drive asset enhancement initiatives to realise value potential of the portfolio, optimise rental income and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Be actively involved in and manage complex and/or commercially significant agreements for lease and lease negotiations.
- Prepare and present board papers and/or stakeholder presentations as required.

Position Requirements:
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in industrial/commercial real estate management with extensive experience in the delivery of strategic property management plans.
- Experience in the preparation of Board Papers.
- Experience in Master planning of specific industrial/commercial sites & precincts.
- Financial and commercial acumen with experience in the development and implementation of Property investment strategies and property portfolio optimisation.
- Working knowledge of NSW statutory and regulatory requirements relating to property and lease management as well as relevant Consumer and Competition legislation.
- Strong experience in the use of and optimisation of Property management systems – Yardi Property Management System is favourable.
